LONG BEACH, Calif. — In a field of 14 total teams, the CSUB men's swim team turned in a third and final solid day of competition to place seventh at the 2009 Toshiba Classic Saturday in Long Beach.
Pac-10 and national powerhouse Stanford finished first with 2002.5 points. The University of Hawaii was second with 1109 points and Air Force was third with 908 points. The Roadrunners amassed 407 points for seventh.
With as many as 100 competitors in some events, the Roadrunners continued to turn in season-best times on their way to a number of solid finishes in Saturday night's finals heats.
Chad McKenzie earned CSUB's top individual finish, placing 10th in the 200 breast in a season-best 2:05.67. Jake Priest also had a season-best time in the event, placing 25th in 2:09.30.
