Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Mission Statement

The CSU Bakersfield Athletic Department is committed to fostering an environment that promotes individuality and embraces the acceptance of diverse backgrounds among its student-athletes, coaches, and support staff. The department fully supports the values and goals outlined in the CSU Bakersfield  Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy, as well as CSU policy, which explicitly prohibits discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual exploitation, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and retaliation against students, employees, and third parties. The overarching focus of the CSU Bakersfield Athletics DEI Committee shall always be to ensure programs are provided that educate, support, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.
