Biography
2010: Planted his name in the CSUB record book in just his first season as a Roadrunner…his third place, 54.88 time in the 100 breast at the Conference USA Championships set a CSUB record…top times in the 200 breast (1:59.88) and the 200 IM (1:48.72) are both the second fastest in CSUB history…times in the 100 and 200 breast were both NCAA “B” cuts…was the second leg of the school-record setting 200 medley and 400 medley relay teams…both times were set at the C-USA Championships and were NCAA “B” cut times…other top times were 21.90 in the 50 free, 47.64 in the 100 free, 1:44.19 in the 200 free, 2:08.53 in the 200 back, 51.44 in the 100 fly and 4:08.69 in the 400 IM.
Limestone College: Competed in the breaststroke and individual medley events at Limestone College, earning NCAA Division II All-American honors in both 2008 and 2009…top times include 55.50 in the 100 breast, 2:01.80 in the 200 breast, 1:50.20 in the 200 IM and 4:02.30 in the 400 IM.
Westville Boys HS: A standout swimmer and water polo player at Westville Boys High School in Durban, South Africa…named vice-captain of the swim team…holds numerous school records and helped the team to the Durban District title in 2005 and a second place finish in 2006.
Personal: A business administration major…parents are Keith McKenzie and Lara Kelly…enjoys surfing…was a member of South Africa’s U18 water polo team that played in the Tri-Nations…born Apr. 29, 1989, in Durban, South Africa.
