Biography
2011-12 (JUNIOR): Earned first team All-Conference honors in the 200 IM and the 400 IM with a pair of second place finishes in each event...posted NCAA “B” cut times in both the 200 IM and 400 IM during the season...was chosen second team All-Conference in the 200 breaststroke after finishing seventh in the event...won the 200 breast during the Cal Baptist dual.
2010-11 (SOPHOMORE): Selected MPSF Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Year...posted NCAA ‘B’ times in the 200 IM (1:47.82) and 400 IM (3:52.93) at the inaugural MPSF Championship Meet, winning each race...both IM times reset the all-time Roadrunner records in those events...also the fastest to stop the clock in the 200 Fly (1:49.24), and helped break another school record in the 800 freestyle relay (6:39.42) at the MPSF Meet...named MPSF Men’s athlete of the week for the week of Nov. 24, 2010, on the heels of what was then the seventh best 200 IM and ninth best 400 IM swim in the country.
2009-10 (FRESHMAN): Set one school record and earned the No. 4 spot in a second event…placed second in the 400 IM at the Conference USA Championships in a school record and NCAA “B” cut time of 3:52.80…also swam CSUB’s fourth fastest time in the 200 IM (1:49.29)…other top times were 4:43.15 in the 500 free, 10:00.70 in the 1,000 free, 54.13 in the 100 back, 1:55.38 in the 200 back, 1:54.75 in the 200 fly, 1:01.06 in the 100 breast and 2:08.92 in the 200 breast.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned team MVP honors for Palo Verde High School where he accumulated top times of 2:03.20 in the 200 breast, 3:58.75 in the 400 IM, 1:52.00 in the 200 IM and 1:52.47 in the 200 fly…led the Panthers to four region championships and a pair of Nevada state championships…was an honors student, carrying a 3.8 cumulative GPA.
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 3, 1991...son of Val Evans...a physical education and kinseology major.
