IRVINE, Calif. – For the ninth time in his storied career, Cal State Bakersfield swimmer Vili Sivec has been named the Swimmer of the Week by his conference. The Big West announced Sivec as the male selection on Tuesday, making it two competitions and two awards for the Roadrunner this season. Sivec earned the honor from The Big West three times last year and four times across his first two seasons while CSUB competed in the MPSF.

Sivec's performance stood out at the NW Collegiate Invitational this past weekend in Boise. The senior won every single individual race he competed in while also leading the `Runner men to finish first in four relays and second in a fifth. He set meet records in all four of his individual events and four of the five relays Sivec raced set meet records as well.

After a winter training session, the `Runners will continue the 2025-26 season after the New Year with back-to-back home duals.
