TEMPE, Ariz.--CSU Bakersfield crowned two individual champions, the program's first since 2010, at the 2013 Pac-12 Wrestling Championships Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.

Tyler Iwamura (R-Sr., San Diego, Calif., Santa Fe Christian HS), the No. 1 seed at 125 pounds reached the finals by defeating Britain Longmire of Cal Poly 10-0 in the semis. The finals saw Iwamura take on Stanford's Evan Silver for the third time this season and for the third time Iwamura defeated Silver (6-2). Iwamura earned the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division I National Championships.

Bryce Hammond (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) joined Iwamura as a conference champion by defeating the No. 1 seed, Blake Stauffer 9-4 in the finals of the 174-pound weight class. Hammond, the No. 2 seed went 3-0 in tournament action.

Timmy Box (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) made the finals at 141 pounds by winning his semifinal matchs 6-5 over Boise State's Travis Himmelman. Oregon State's Mike Mangrum, the No. 1 seed, pinned Box, the No. 2 seed 3:33 into the championship final.

Adam Fierro (So., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) finished third at 157 pounds. Fierro won his first round match before losing to Boise State's George Ivanov in the semis. He won his wrestleback, sending him to the third place match gainst Stanford's Kyle Meyer where he won 7-6.

Fierro would wrestle again against RJ Pena of to help determine the Pac-12's second automatic bid at 157. Pena pinned Fierro in the match to earn the spot at the national meet.

CSUB received fifth place finishes from Dalton Kelley (R-Jr., 149, Alamosa, Calif., Alamosa HS), David Meza (R-Fr., 165, Fullerton, Calif., Buena Park HS), Frankie Hurtado (So., 197, Bakersfield, Liberty HS), and Sammy Cervantes (R-Jr., 285, Chula Vista, Calif., Palomar College).

Ian Nickell (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif.) won his opening round 133-pound match by technical fall but took medical defaults in his next three matches to fall to sixth place. Sean Pollock (R-So., Oceanside, Calif., Rancho Buena Vista HS) would finish sixth at 184.

CSUB (108.5) finished fourth. Oregon State (158) won the team title.

Twenty-one automatic bids to the NCAA Championship were awarded at the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday with the qualifiers as follows: (125) Tyler Iwamura (CSUB); (133) Devon Lotito (Cal Poly), Brian Owen (BSU); (141) Mike Mangrum (OSU); (149) Jason Chamberlain (BSU), Scott Sakaguchi (OSU); (157) George Ivanov (BSU), RJ Pena (OSU); (165) Bret Baumbach (Stanford); (174) Bryce Hammond (CSUB), Blake Stauffer (ASU), Cody Weishoff (OSU); (184) Jake Swartz (BSU), Kevin Radford (ASU), Ty Vinson (OSU); (197) Taylor Meeks (OSU), Jake Meredith (ASU); (HWT) Chad Hanke (OSU), JT Felix (BSU), Levi Cooper (ASU), Dan Scherer (Stanford).The final 40 entries to the national tournament will be awarded Mar. 13.
