2014-15 (R-JUNIOR): Lost 1-0 to Jim Wilson of Stanford in the season opening dual...was injured against Wilson and resumed competition at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational where he placed sixth with a 5-3 record...finished fifth at the Midlands Championships, going 5-3 during the tournament...won fourth in a row, 4-1 over Cal Poly’s Travis Berridge, Jan. 29...placed third at the Pac-12 Championships...qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time and went 0-2...ended season with a 18-11 record and two pins.

2013-14 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at CSU Bakersfield...went 22-3 in open competition...won the SF State U-21, Fresno City College U-21, and California Collegiate Opens at 165 pounds...was second at the Roadrunner Open at 165 and finished fifth at the Reno Tournament of Champions at 165.

2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): Placed third at the Pac-12 Tournament...started season with a tournament victory at the San Francisco State U-21 Open...outscored opponents 37-6 in the three matches on the way to the tournament victory...was sixth at the Reno Tournament of Champions...finished season with a record of 25-16.

2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Opened career with the 165-pound title at the Roadrunner Open...won first six matches before losing at the Cal Poly dual...finished third at the California Collegiate Open...went 4-2 at the Edinboro Open...won eight of last 10 entering Pac 12 tournament...before placing fourth at the league tournament...tied for second on the team in victories with Frank Lomas (22-14)...placed fifth at 70KG at the FILA Junior Nationals to earn his spot in the Fila Junior World Team Trials.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Bakersfield High School...coach was former CSUB wrestler Andy Varner...finished third at the CIF State Tournament at 152 pounds as a senior...team won state championships during junior campaign.

PERSONAL: Born Mar. 19, 1993...son of Abel and Zenda Fierro....a physical education and kinesology major...brother AJ is a member of the CSU Bakersfield wrestling team.
