Biography

2014-15 (R-JUNIOR): Missed most of season due to a knee injury...went 2-6 in limited action.

2013-14 (R-SOPHOMORE): Went 19-19 on the way to finishing fourth at the Pac-12 Championships at 165 pounds...finished sixth at the at the Roadrunner Open at 165 after going 5-3 during the meet...was 6-7 in dual competition.

2012-13 (R-FRESHMAN): Began season by finishing third at 157 pounds at the San Francisco State U-21 Open...moved to 165 pounds for the remainder of the season after going 3-2 at the Roadrunner Open...finished fifth at the Pac-12 Championships...concluded the season with 16-17 record and two pins.

2011-12 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at CSUB...posted a 9-8 record wrestling unattached in four open tournaments...went 2-2 at 70 KG at the FILA Junior Nationals.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Buena Park High School...coach was Gonzalo Meza...finished third at the CIF State Tournament as a senior at 140 pounds...a two-time Freeway League Champion..a two-time CIF Southern Section Champion...team won 2008 and 2009 league titles.

PERSONAL: Born Mar. 25, 1999...son of Isidro and Rita Meza....a public administration major.
