2013-14 (R-SOPHOMORE): Finished sixth at the Roadrunner Open but an injury to his shoulder during the meet resulted in season ending surgery...was 4-4 in limited competition.

2012-13 (R-FRESHMAN): Placed second at the Pac-12 Championships at 141 pounds...opened season by winning first 10 matches including the tournament title at the San Francisco State U-21 Open...tied for team lead in pins with Dalton Kelley (7)...came in eighth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational...ended season with a 23-12 record.

2011-12 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at CSU Bakersfield.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Bakersfield High School...coach was former CSUB wrestler Andy Varner...finished third at the CIF State Tournament at 135 pounds as a senior...was seventh at the state tournament as a sophomore at 130 pounds...team won state championships during junior campaign...graduated with a 3.3 GPA.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 10, 1993...son of Mike and Mary Box...an English major...father, Mike Box, wrestled at Chico State...brother Anthony is a member of the wrestling team at CSUB.
