SURPRISE,
Ariz.-The CSUB baseball team made it 10 in a row Sunday when the Roadrunners
defeated Northern Illinois 6-1 at the Surprise Stadium Complex.
Brandon
Van Dam (Jr., Lancaster, Calif., Quartz Hill HS) tossed a complete game five-hitter.
The Huskies (0-10) scored their lone run off of the 6-7 righty in the sixth. It
was the first run scored in 26+ innings. Jeremy Rodriguez (Jr., Thousand Oaks,
Calif., Crespi HS) went 3-for-4 with a home run. Ryan McIntyre (Jr., Henderson,
Nev., Coronado HS) was 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and an outfield assist.
The Roadrunners won the Coca Cola Classic when Arizona State defeated UC Riverside Sunday. Tommy Hoenshell (Jr., Orange County, Calif., Cypress College) and
Jonathan Montoya (Jr., Chino Hills, Calif., Chino Hills HS) were selected to
the All-Tournament team for their peformances in the tournament. Hoenshell went
nine innings, giving up one run against Arizona State Friday while Montoya
picked up a complete game shutout against Air Force on Saturday.

(11-2) returns to the diamond Tuesday when the Roadrunners travel to No. 21 Fresno State. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.
