2009-2010 (CYPRESS COLLEGE): Named first team All-Orange Empire Conference as a sophomore at Cypress College after posted a 10-3 record, 3.07 ERA, and 75 strikeouts in 105 innings...chosen California Community College All-Southern California and ABCA/Rawlings Southern California All-Region as a sophomore...selected third team ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association All-American in 2010...earned second team All-Orange Empire Conference honors as a freshman when he went 4-1 with a 2.40 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 52 innings of work...two-year career performance has earned Hoenshell a spot in the Cypress College Hall of Fame...coach was Scott Pickler.

EL MODENA HIGH SCHOOL:  A 2007 graduate of El Modena High School...coach was Steve Bernard...selected first team All-Conference and Century League Pitcher of the Year as a senior...was 6-2 with a 1.90 ERA and 50 strikeouts as a senior...team won Century League Championship title in 2007.
