• A year ago in Boise, the `Runners handed the Broncos a 3-1 defeat on their home pitch.
  • Bakersfield’s road win came as a surprise to some as Boise State enjoyed a 10-0-0 home record the year prior.
• Boise State is off to a start as the only blemish on its 4-1-1 record is a road loss against Texas Tech.

CSUB at Pacific 

• The `Runners begin a four-game road stretch:

• CSUB will face the Tigers for the eighth time in the all-time series.
  • Pacific leads 4-3-0 all-time, but the `Runners are on a 3-match win streak against the Tigers.

• The Cal State Bakersfield volleyball team heads back out on the road for three matches in Northern California.
• First-year Head Coach Kristen Wright has already made her mark on the CSUB Volleyball program and the local volleyball community, bringing high energy and enthusiasm back to her hometown of Bakersfield.
  • On Sept. 5, Wright notched the 200th win of her collegiate coaching career as Bakersfield defeated previously-undefeated Weber State.

• Eleven newcomers joined the roster this year with four of them coming from NCAA Division I institutions. A few `Runner rookies to look out for are Bakersfield native Jordyn Waite-Ward and outside hitters Ana Benjamin and Anna Bacchin.

• Bakersfield will be looking for its first-ever win against Santa Clara after going 5-0 against the Broncos all-time.

• The `Runners and Aztecs will be meeting for the first time since 2018, when Bakersfield earned its first win against SDSU (1-5 all-time).

CSUB at Saint Mary’s 

• The `Runners wrap up a long weekend with a single-match:

• The `Runners and Gaels will meet for the first time in 3 years. Back in 2023, Bakersfield earned its first win against SMC (1-6 all-time).

• Led by fourth-year Head Coach Katy Barrett Baxter, the newest edition of the Roadrunners features 5 returners and 3 newcomers.
• All five veteran `Runners bring ample experience along with them, led by top returning scorers Anna Kehrer and Rena Kaneko.
• Bakersfield looks to continue great success from the 2025-26 season after resetting the program record for single-season scoring average (302.60) for the second-straight year.
  • The `Runners also reached the highest National Rankings (#177) in program history last year, climbing more than 100 spots since Barrett Baxter arrived.
