IRVINE, Calif. - After a standout performance to open the 2026 season, Cal State Bakersfield's Zenden Hart was voted the Big West Defensive Player of the Week. This is Hart's second Player of the Week nod as a `Runner and the fifth overall in his career.

Last week, Hart led Cal State Bakersfield to an Opening Day shutout over Utah Tech. The fifth-year goalkeeper tallied the fifth shutout of his career while helping the `Runners got off to a 1-0-0 start to the new season. Hart tallied a pair of saves in the defensive masterpiece as CSUB's defense stifled the Trailblazers.
