BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield Baseball’s Kellen O’Connor has been named to the D1baseball.com’s top midseason position player rankings list. Each position contains 150 players in their respective positions, O’Connor sits at #90 on the starting pitcher list at the midseason point in the 2024 campaign.

The redshirt junior is bouncing back after missing the entire 2023 season due to undergoing Tommy John surgery. With seven appearances so far this season, O’Connor has pitched 43.1 innings striking out 40 batters, good for an 8.35 K/9. In those 43.1 innings, he has an ERA of 2.08 and opponents are batting just .239 when facing the lefty.

O’Connor is ranked 8th in the Big West for strikeouts (40), and 134th nationally, while he is ranked 3rd in the Big West (2.08) which is also good for 28th in the nation.
