Roadrunners Reloading: Summer League Success Stories

Summer Baseball is winding down, as returning and incoming Roadrunners are competing in collegiate summer leagues all across the country.
 All statistics are through July 26th. The CSUB Roadrunners have 20 players playing in summer leagues.
 
West Coast League
 
Elijah Pelayo, Wenatchee Apple Sox
Since arriving in Wenatchee in the middle of July, Elijah has been hot with the bat, hitting .350 and getting on base at .435.
 
Evan Cloyd, Wenatchee Apple Sox
Evan arrived in Wenatchee in early July, and he has been on a tear since arriving. Evan is currently hitting over .300, while getting on base at a .491 clip.
 
Matt Dobson, Bend Elks
Dobson has proven to be one of the best hitters in the entire West Coast League this summer, currently hitting .329 with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, and an OPS north of 1.000.
 
Kanoa Morisaki, Wenatchee Apple Sox
Kanoa has caught 20 games this summer for the Apple Sox, getting on base at a .324 clip.
 
Northwoods League
 
Carter Jorissen, St. Cloud Rox
Carter has proven to be one of the best backstops in the Northwoods League this summer, where he was named an NWL All-Star. This summer, Carter is hitting .337 and getting on base at a .429 clip.
 
Adam Salazar, Eau Claire Express
Adam arrived in Eau Claire in late May, and hit .283 over 125 plate appearances, and only striking out 13 times.
 
Nick Mascaro, Eau Claire Express
Mascaro continued his breakout 2025 campaign with a summer in Eau Claire, where he got on base at a .400 clip. Mascaro finished the summer on a 7-game hit streak, with 4 of those games being multi-hit games.

Ethan Minaker, Thunder Bay Border Cats
Ethan arrived in Thunder Bay in early July, and has pitched to a 5.06 ERA in 16 Innings in the Northwoods League.
 
Brendan Thompson, Battle Creek Battle Jacks
An incoming freshman for the Fall of 2025, Brendan has showcased elite defense at Shortstop, while sporting a .257 batting average. The All-State infielder joined the Battle Jacks after the completion of Forest Hills Eastern's state championship run.
 
California Collegiate League
 
Devon Wilkes, Conejo Oaks
An incoming Freshman for the Fall of 2025, Wilkes has showcased his offensive ability immediately upon joining the Oaks. The CCL All-Star is hitting over .300 for the Oaks, and also placed 2nd in the CCL Home Run Derby.
 
Jacob May, San Diego Waves
An incoming junior college transfer from Southwestern College, Jacob put on a show this summer, hitting .376 with an OPS north of 1.000.

Casey Leavitt-McGee, Walnut Creek Crawdads
An incoming junior college transfer from Laney College, Casey joined the Walnut Creek Crawdads this summer, where he got on base at a .381 clip, highlighted by a better than 1:1 BB/K ratio.
 
Appalachian League
 
Elgin Bennett, Danville Otterbots
Elgin joined the Otterbots in early July, and has been a mainstay at the top of their lineup. Bennett currently has a .415 OBP through 18 games in Danville.
 
Dusty Vela, Burlington Sock Puppets
Incoming transfer from Winthrop, Vela has played in 31 games for the Sock Puppets with an OBP of .297.
 
Front Range Collegiate League
 
Davis Goodwin, Western Nebraska Pioneers
FRCL All-Star Davis Goodwin has put on a show this summer, currently hitting .418 with an OPS of 1.270. Goodwin has also added 8 doubles, 5 home runs, and is 12-13 in stolen bases.
 
Nathaniel Pimentel, Western Nebraska Pioneers
An Incoming Freshman for the Fall of 2025, Nathaniel Pimentel was named a FRCL All-Star. Pimentel is 2-0 this summer with a 4.44 ERA through 24.1 Innings pitched.
 
Prospect League
 
Joe Tootle, Johnstown Mill Rats
Incoming transfer Joe Tootle was named a Prospect League All-Star for the Millrats, where he currently is pitching to a 4.26 ERA through 38 innings.
 
Rocky Mountain Collegiate League
 
Christian Lopez, Denver Cougars
An incoming Freshman for the Fall of 2025, Christian exploded in the Rocky Mountain League, hitting .453 with an OPS of 1.116. Christian was also 16 for 16 in stolen bases.
 
Golden State Collegiate League
 
Taison Miller, Fresno Athletics
An incoming Freshman for the Fall of 2025, Taison had a fantastic summer in Fresno with the A's. Taison hit .369 with an OBP of .443, while also stealing 19 bases.
 
Pacific International League
 
Levi Grothen, DubSea Fish Sticks
An incoming Freshman for the Fall of 2025, Levi's ability to strike people out has continued while on the summer circuit this summer. Levi has a 2.63 ERA in 16 innings, while striking out 23 batters in those 16 innings.
