Milin Closes NICs as a Top 15 Scorer

Quotes from Director of Swimming Chris Hansen
  • "I am so proud of this group and how they handled the pressure of such a high-caliber meet."
  • "Antonio and Mikayla swam their last meets as `Runners and both walked away swimming a very successful meet, the last night being their best."
  • "Arthur and Vili came to Elkhart after a very successful TYR meet in Florida. It is not easy to rest for the MPSF, then swim a long course national meet, then go straight to the NIC. I would be impressed if anyone could do this, but two freshmen? Vili will take a little time off before training for a possible World Championship bid."
  • "The experience the swimmers get at this meet has to motivate them to swim faster and get to experience this again! They also have to return to Bakersfield as strong leaders who can motivate their teammates!"
Men's Top Performers
  • The `Runner men wrapped up the meet in 13th of 41 teams, placing behind programs like Tennessee, Ohio State, TCU, GCU, BYU, and West Virginia.

  • Sivec continued his domination with a bronze in the 200 fly (1:45.00). Fifteen minutes later, the freshman was back in the pool, leading off the men's 400 free relay.
