CSUB Travels To Cal Poly Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—The CSU Bakersfield baseball team will hit the road for the first time this season Tuesday night when the Roadrunners travel to Cal Poly. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and will be streamed on Big West TV.

The Roadrunners took 2-of-3 from BYU last weekend to close out the season opening home stand with an 8-3 record. Mahlik Jones hit .636 for the season (7-of-11) and pitched in game two of the set. Naithen Dewsnap earned his third save in the opener and is 2-0 on the year as the 'Runner closer.

Cal Poly opened the season with an 11-game road trip during which the Mustangs went 2-9. Alex McKenna is leading the team with a .325 batting average. Nick Meyer has posted a team leading six RBI's.

Lefty Trent Shelton (0-0) is scheduled to start the game for Cal Poly. Garrett Nimmo (0-1) is the probable starter for CSUB Tuesday night. The Mustangs lead the all-time series against CSUB 16-6.
