DAVIS, Calif. ? Senior Henry Holmberg won the 1000 yard free and 500 free as the CSUB men's swim team fell 160-117 to UC Davis in a dual meet Saturday in Davis.
The Bend, Ore., native continued his dominate in both events, posting a 9:27.32 time in the 1000 and a 4:45.08 time in the 500.
Fellow senior Nathan Vizcarra finished a close second to Holmberg in the 500 free, touching the wall in 4:45.95. He also posted a season best in his fourth place finish in the 1000 free, turning in a 9:44.57 time.
The Roadrunners' 400 yard medley relay team of Luka Leskur, Griffin Bracke, Rene Hjorth and Malcolm Reid had a solid swim to open the day, posting a 3:31.13 third place finish while the 200 free relay team of Reid, Hjorth, Chase Kreitler and Thomas Peart closed out the meet with a 1:27.21 mark.
Sampo Sissala earned the Bakersfield squad nine team points with a 2:00.90 finish in the 200 individual medley while also placing second in the 200 fly with a time of 1:58.84.
A pair of Pac-10 teams await the Roadrunners next week as their final tune-up before the Conference USA Championships Feb. 25-28. Bakersfield travels to face Stanford on Friday and Cal on Saturday with both duals beginning at 1 p.m.
