BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The CSU Bakersfield cheerleading program is seeking a volunteer assistant coach to join its staff for the 2026–27 season. This role offers a unique opportunity for a passionate and organized individual to support the development of student-athletes while contributing to a growing collegiate program.
Position Overview
The program is looking for candidates who enjoy working with student-athletes and helping cultivate a positive, high-energy team culture both on and off the floor.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting with practices and skill development

Supporting overall program operations

Providing academic support

Assisting with scheduling community engagement activities
Time Commitment & Expectations
The volunteer assistant coach is expected to attend two to three evening practices per week. Participation in selected home games is expected, while team travel opportunities may be available but are not required.
This position offers flexibility for candidates balancing other professional or personal commitments.
