CSUB Beach VB Earns 4th-Straight AVCA Academic Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball team continued to emphasize success in the classroom as, for the fourth-straight year, the Roadrunners have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT.

Annually honoring the nation's volleyball programs that strive for academic excellence, the Team Academic Award celebrates squads that maintain a year-long grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher.

Bakersfield's beach volleyball team ranks among the top programs in the Cal State Bakersfield Athletics Departments academically. The beach squad wrapped up the year with a 3.31 cumulative GPA, clinching their fourth-consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award.

CSUB's squad joined more than 1,450 other teams to be honored by the AVCA, including a record and 72 beach teams.
