BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball standouts Ella Erteltova and Vivi Kaelin have been named the Big West Pairs Team of the Week, following a stellar 6-0 performance at the No. 1 spot that showcased their dominance and grit against a strong slate of opponents.

The dynamic duo picked up straight-set victories over Cal State LA (21-6, 21-4), Portland (21-18, 22-20), and Colorado Mesa (22-20, 21-10), showing both their power and precision from start to finish.

Erteltova and Kaelin also demonstrated exceptional mental toughness in three-set thrillers throughout the weekend. They battled back to defeat CSUN (21-19, 12-21, 15-12), overcame an early setback to top Saint Mary’s (18-21, 21-14, 15-9), and closed out the event with a come-from-behind win over Boise State (13-21, 21-19, 15-12).

This award marks another accolade for the Roadrunner tandem, who has emerged as one of the Big West’s most formidable pairs. 

The Roadrunners look to carry this momentum into the final stretch of the season and make a statement at the Big West Championship.
