BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield Cheerleading & STUNT team kicked off the 2024-25 season with a summer practice session inside the Icardo Center. Held on June 1^ST and June 2^nd, the cheerleading team worked on stunts, tumbling and sideline chants. The Roadrunner cheerleaders return to campus for their second practice session on July 20^th and July 21^st.
 
Welcoming nine new `Runner athletes for the 2024-25 season, the cheerleading team looks to elevate their competitive prowess by expanding their competition schedule. The squad is set to attend PPAACC, USA College Nationals, and for the first time, compete in STUNT games in the spring. 
 
`Runner fans can catch the cheerleading and dance teams at all home indoor volleyball, and men's and women's basketball games in support of their fellow CSUB student-athletes. Additionally, the cheer and dance teams support men's and women's soccer in the fall and baseball in the spring at selected home games.
