BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield baseball team took the final game in the three game series against Long Beach State, 9-7. 

Getting out to an early start, the roadrunners put their first mark on the board during the first inning. After having a clutch performance in game two, Kobe Silva would lead the `Runners to start off this game, doubling down right field to score in Nick Salas. 

Bakersfield would continue their scoring for three straight innings, putting up a total of 9 runs off of eight hits. Their scoring came to an abrupt halt when clouds filled the sky and it began to pour down, causing a delay in the game. Although Bakerfield's offense stopped putting up runs, the `Runners defense held off the Beach just long enough to keep them at bay. 

CSUB win marks the ball team first series win of the season in the Big West. They will be back for more action Tuesday night as they rally for the valley against Fresno State.
