BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Rod Barnes and his staff make a splash with the addition of Dylan Purnell. Purnell is an athletic combo guard that provides versatility to the Roadrunners on both ends of the floor.

Dylan Purnell

• 6’5” Combo Guard
• From Raleigh, North Carolina
• Currently a Freshman at South Plains College
  • South Plains College is currently ranked as the No. 1 JUCO in the Country
• Attended So Cal Academy prior to South Plains
  • Played with current Roadrunner Mike Price Jr while at So Cal Academy
• In 2022-23 averaged 13 points, 9.2 rebounds, 7 assist and 2 steals (Moravian Prep National)
• In 2021-22 averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.2 steals (Tennessee Prep)
  • Was ranked 29th overall and 8th in his position
• Score his 1500th points in February 2023 and was named to HS Slam All Stars 2nd Team
• In his post grad season in 2023-24 he played in the Golden State Classic, Rocky Mountain Jamboree, and All-American Jamboree
