BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield Athletics hosted five Education Days throughout the 2025-26 academic year, welcoming nearly 5,000 local and regional students to campus. 

Education Days are designed to connect young students with higher education through the excitement of collegiate athletics, providing a unique opportunity for thousands of children to experience a college campus environment. For many in attendance, it marked their first time visiting a university setting. 

By combining live athletic competitions with exposure to campus life, CSUB Athletics aims to inspire students to envision themselves pursuing higher education in the future. The initiative continues to serve as a meaningful introduction to college for young learners across Kern County and the surrounding region. 

Cal State Bakersfield remains committed to engaging with the local community and creating opportunities that extend beyond competition. Through Education Days, the Roadrunners continue to invest in the next generation by fostering curiosity, access, and aspiration.
