Meet the `Runners 2022-23: Freshmen

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A little less than a month remains before the Cal State Bakersfield men's basketball team hits the floor for its first official game of the 2022-23 season. Before then, Roadrunner fans will get their first look at the newest edition of the squad at the annual Blue-Gold Scrimmage on Oct. 25.

As we approach these exciting events, we are breaking down the team, class by class, over the next four Fridays. Starting off are the newest `Runners, Bakersfield's four incoming freshmen.

Notable
  • Traditionally a heavy recruiter at junior colleges, this group is Barnes' largest true freshman class since the 2017-18 season (five freshmen). It is his second-largest freshman class in 12 seasons at CSUB.
  • Barnes on the group: "I love this class. Not only are these guys talented, but I also think they're going to play a factor in helping us early as we get started this season."
