11th Addition To Class Of 2023 Signees Is Inked

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield women's soccer head coach Sebastian Vecchio and his staff have announced the signing of another future Roadrunner with the addition of central valley native Darian Tatum to a National Letter of Intent.

"Darian exemplifies everything we want our program to be on and off the field," explained head coach Sebastian Vechhio. "Her speed will be tough to match up with for a lot of teams. I'm looking forward to seeing her development during her four years here at CSUB."

Tatum is a 5-foot-5 speedy forward from Fresno, Calif. that will join the Roadrunners on the pitch next fall after graduating Clovis West High School in the spring. Her prep career has been successful as she has garnered numerous honors on and off the field.

Tatum earned Freshman of the Year and Co-Offensive Player of the Year in her debut campaign with the Golden Eagles in 2015-16 then was named MVP of her varsity team the following season. She tabbed another Offensive Player of the Year honor in her junior year and enters her final prep season having earned back-to-back Scholar Athlete awards.

A dual-athlete throughout high school, Tatum collected awards for her performance on the track as well. She has earned Top Track Awards with the track and field teams since joining as a freshman.

Tatum joins a talented group of 10 incoming freshmen. A future class of 2023 graduate, she plans to move back to Fresno, Calif. and become a teacher in her hometown.
