Pitalo Adds Gracia to Women's Soccer Coaching Staff

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Whitney Pitalo, Cal State Bakersfield's Head Women's Soccer Coach, has completed her coaching staff for the upcoming season with the addition of Antonio Gracia, who will serve the Roadrunners as Assistant Coach.

"We are excited to welcome Antonio to the program," Pitalo said. "He brings a great combination of coaching experience, goalkeeper development, and recruiting knowledge that will immediately impact our team. Antonio has a strong eye for detail in both training and match preparation, especially in his work with scouting and analytics, and he is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. We believe he will be a great fit for our culture and help continue to elevate our program."

Gracia arrives in Bakersfield following his time at the University of Nebraska Kearney, where he served as Assistant Coach, Goalkeeper Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator. During his tenure, he helped guide the program to one of the most successful stretches in school history, including achieving the second-most wins in a two-season span. He also played a key role in the development of multiple all-conference and all-region honorees while overseeing all goalkeeper training, recruiting operations, and scouting analysis.

Prior to Nebraska Kearney, Gracia spent time at Eastern Oregon University as a graduate assistant coach working with both the men's and women's programs. There, he contributed to postseason appearances for both teams and helped the women's program achieve one of the top defensive records in school history.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Gracia has worked as a goalkeeper coach with 402 Development Academy, where he trains and mentors goalkeepers across multiple age groups and has contributed to State Cup-winning teams.

A former student-athlete at Eastern Oregon, Gracia earned both his bachelor's degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing. He also holds a USC Goalkeeping Level 3 certification and brings strong expertise in analytics, film analysis, and player development.

The CSUB women's soccer program continues preparing for the upcoming season with a spring slate of matches. Come out to the Main Soccer Field to root for the `Runners during their free exhibition matches on Friday, Mar. 20, with the first match kicking off at 5 p.m. (PT).
