BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The CSU Bakersfield men's swimming and diving team will look to get back to .500 with a home meet against the University of Hawaii on Saturday, Oct. 28.
"We had a lot of weak swims last weekend against UNLV," said
Chris Hansen, CSu Bakersfield's Director of men's swimming and diving. "The men should be hungry and want to redeem themselves."
The `Runners are looking to bounce back from a 182-111 defeat at Western Athletic Conference rival UNLV last weekend in Las Vegas.
"Beating Hawaii is not out of reach but we cannot just depend on
Lovre Soric,
Kris Rogic,
Loren Gillilan,
Jake Chir,
Adam Estrella and
Noah Hultner" Coach Hansen added. "The entire team needs to show up. In a meet like this, third and fourth place points are also very important. The men have a challenge this weekend, they need to accept the challenge and attack."
The meet begins at 11:30 a.m. at John S. Hillman Memorial Aquatic Center in Bakersfield and admission is free all season long for all CSUB swimming and diving events.
