2021-22: Recorded 13 Top-10 finishes and won five individual races...Posted three Top-20 finishes at the MPSF Swimming & Diving Championships...Placed 12th in the 100 Butterfly and 13th in the 200 Butterfly...Was also 20th in the 200 Individual Medley and raced on four relay teams at the conference meet...Qualified for the National Invitational Championships.
2020-21: Team did not compete due to COVID-19...Competed at the US Olympic Trials in the 100 Butterfly.
2019-20: Won 14 individual titles, including at least one in seven different disciplines...Specialized in the butterfly, winning the 100 Fly and 200 fly four times each...Qualified for the US Olympic Trials with his time at the US Summer Nationals with a time of 53.75...Posted a 47.65 in the 100 Fly at the season opening dual meet with UNLV...Swept both butterfly events in a tri-meet with California Baptist and Pomona Pitzer...Won the 200 Free (1:44.14) and the 200 IM (1:56.87), while placing second in the 500 Free (4:44.82) in a meet with UC Santa Cruz...Won the 100 Free (46.10) and the 100 Fly (48.33) in a tri-meet with UCSD and LMU...Placed ninth at the WAC Championship meet in both the 100 Fly (47.74) and the 200 Fly (1:49.07)...Swam the butterfly leg on CSUB's 200 medley relay team that placed fourth and set a school record at the WAC meet...Swam the second leg of the 800 Free Relay team that earned 2nd-Team All-League honors with a third-place finish...Qualified to swim at both the Toyota US Open and the National Invitational Championship...Placed fourth in the 50 Fly (21.59) and third in the 200 IM (1:48.81) at the NIC...Preliminary NIC swim in the 200 IM set new personal best and places him fourth all-time at CSUB.
2018-19: Set school records in the 100 fly (46.90) and the 200 fly (1:46.56) at the WAC Championships...was anchor leg of CSUB's record-setting 200 medley relay team that finished 4th at the WAC Championships (1:28.15)...swam third leg of CSUB's record-setting 400 medley relay team that finished fourth at the WAC Championships...earned First Team All-WAC honors in the 100 fly with a runner-up finish at the WAC Championships...earned Second Team All-WAC honors with a fifth place finish at the WAC Championships...won the NIC title and set a new meet record in the 100 fly (47.13)...won the NIC title and set a new meet record in the 50 fly (21.48)...swam the third-fastest 50 free in school history (20.34)...won seven events on the season and recorded 22 top-five finishes...finished no worse than fifth all season in the 100 fly.
2017-18: Finished in first place 11 times during the dual meet season…competed primarily in the 100 fly, 50 free and 100 free...earned Second Team All-WAC honors by placing sixth in the 100 butterfly (48.03)...personal record of 48.03 in the 100 fly is second in CSUB history…finished 14th in the 50 free (20.49) at the WAC Championships…took 12th in the 100 free (45.07) at WAC Championships…Gillilan helped set a new CSUB record in the 200 medley relay (1:28.88)…was a part of season-best times in the 400 medley relay, 400 free relay, and 200 free relay…selected to attend the National Invitational Championships placing fourth in the 100 butterfly (48.41)...earned Academic All-WAC honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Fossil Ridge High School...coached by Mark Morehouse…set school record in 100 fly…helped lead Sabercats to win League Championships from 2013-16 and State Championships in 2015 and 2016…competed with Fort Collins Area Swim Team (FAST) since 2009.
