BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield women's soccer coach Gary Curneen has announced the 2016 Roadrunner schedule.

CSUB opens the season Aug. 19 when the Roadrunners travel to Sacramento State. The first home match of the season is set for Aug. 21 when CSUB hosts Fresno State at 7 p.m. The 'Runners play the first of two doubleheaders with the Roadrunner men's program Aug. 26 (5 p.m.) as UTEP comes to Bakersfield for the first time

A three-game road trip begins Aug. 28 at Loyola Marymount before concluding in the Carolinas for the first time when CSUB play at Presbyterian College (Sept. 2) and Campbell (Sept. 4). The 'Runners return home Sept. 9 against Eastern Washington before heading back out on the road Sept. 11 at Cal Poly and Sept. 16 at UNLV.

The Roadrunners are back on the Main Soccer Field pitch Sept. 18 for a match against Idaho. CSUB travels to Grand Canyon for a non-conference match Sept. 23 before concluding the non-conference portion of the schedule UC Riverside Sept. 25.

The Western Athletic Conference slate begins at 2015 WAC Tournament champion Utah Valley Oct. 7 before CSUB returns home that Sunday, Oct. 9, against 2015 WAC regular season champion Seattle U at 1 p.m.

The Roadrunners take the Midwest swing Oct. 14 and Oct. 16 when CSUB is at Chicago State and Missouri-Kansas City respectively. The regular season concludes with three home matches against UTRGV (the second of the doubleheaders with the 'Runner men) Oct. 21, NM State Oct. 23, and Grand Canyon Oct. 29. The WAC Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 3-4, and Oct. 6 at Missouri-Kansas City.
