FORT MEYERS, Fla.--Florida Gulf Coast's Tabby Tindell scored two goals in the first five minutes of the first half as the Eagles defeated Bakersfield 3-0 in women's soccer play Sunday afternoon.

Tindell, who is in the top five in Division I in goals with 10, carried a Paulina Speckmeier pass past the Roadrunner defense for the first goal of the match at 3:30. 1:38 later, Tindell put back a Speckmeier rebound for the game's second goal. Speckmeier got on the board for Florida Gulf Coast (6-3) with a tally at exactly 25:00. FGCU outshot the 'Runners 23-1, 10-1 on goal.

Bakersfield (1-8-1) opens the WAC portion of the schedule next Saturday when the Roadrunners travel to Grand Canyon for a 7 p.m. start.
