BOCA RATON, Fla.--Alex Bachman's (So., Buena Park, Calif., Cypress HS) goal with 56 seconds remaining in the second overtime lifted Bakersfield to a 2-1 victory over Florida Atlantic Friday night.

The Owls took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute when Hildur Hauksdottir connected on a Taylor Towsend pass. The 'Runners tied the score at 42:26. Taylor Wheeler (Jr., Fullerton, Calif. (La Habra HS ) took a corner kick which fell in front of the Florida Atlantic goal where Vendela Schonberg (Fr.,  Norrkoping, Sweden, Degeer Gymnasiet HS) converted for the first goal of her career.

Florida Atlantic (4-4) outshot the Roadrunners 27-7 for the match, but the Owls only held a 5-3 advantage in overtime. The Roadrunners pressed late, setting up Bachman's gamewinner which was scored off a rebound in front of the FAU net. The win breaks at a 12-match winless streak for the 'Runners (1-7-1) dating back to last season.

Bakersfield is at Florida Gulf Coast Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. (EDT).
