DAVIS, Calif.-- Jordie Hein (So., Scottsdale, Ariz., Chapparal HS) posted a career high three hits and two RBI's as CSU Bakersfield won for the sixth time in seven games, defeating UC Davis 11-0 Friday afternoon at Robbins Stadium.
The Roadrunners batted around in the top of the third to score five runs. CSUB added five more in the top of the fifth. Dylan Christensen (Sr., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Saddleback College) hit the first Roadrunner home run of the year to highlight the rally. Hein's second RBI of the day came in the top of the ninth to make it the final 11-0.
Christensen was 2-for-4 with four RBI's. Kevin Younger (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS), Cael Brockmeyer (Jr., Vineyard Haven, Mass., Avon Old Farms HS), Tyler Shryock (Jr., Tehachapi, Calif., Desert Christian HS) all recorded two hits
A total of five different CSUB players drove in runs. Jeff McKenzie (Sr., El Dorado Hills, Calif., San Joaquin Delta College) improved to 3-1 on the year as he scattered seven hits in his sixth career complete game. McKenzie struck out four along the way.
The series continues Saturday in Davis at 1 p.m.
