BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-Kansas
State's Jared King went
4-for-4 with two home runs three RBI's, three runs scored, and a walk to lead
the Wildcats (26-15) to a 9-0 victory over CSUB (24-13) Tuesday night at Hardt
Field.

State jumped on the board
early with three runs in the top of the first. King hit his first home run of the night in
the third to make it 4-0. The Roadrunners loaded the bases with one out in the
bottom of the third, but Oscar Sanay (Fr., Chula Vista, Calif.,
Bonita Vista HS) grounded into a double play to end the threat.
K-State scored two more runs in the fifth and three more in
the sixth (including King's second home run) for the final Kansas State
runs of the game. The Wildcats turned back two other CSUB offensive chances
with double plays in the first and eighth innings.
King's older brother Jason and Tanner Witt each posted two
hits. Andrew Letourneau (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield
College) was 2-for-3 with
a walk for CSUB.
The Runners host No. 17 UC Irvine this weekend for a
three-game set beginning Friday night at 6 p.m.
