Bakersfield, Calif. — Reaching out once again to the Bakersfield community's youth, the CSUB men's and women's soccer teams joined together with Telemundo, East High School and Taft College soccer in participation at the Telemundo Family Soccer Festival Saturday at East High.

The Roadrunner players conducted free clinics for young soccer players in attendance, working with the youth on skills as well as small sided games and contests. The collegiate student-athletes also spent time speaking with the local high school athletes in attendance, sharing information about the steps they have taken to be able to continue to play soccer beyond high school.

The day culminated back at the CSUB campus with the Roadrunner men's team hosting an all-star lineup from Bakersfield Mexican League in the final spring friendly of 2010. CSUB won the contest 7-0.
