CSUB's Jake Priest (So., Las Vegas, Nev., Palo Verde HS) has
been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Male Swimmer of the Week of Nov.
24.
Priest turned in a pair of NCAA "B" cuts Nov. 18-20 at the
Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif.
The "B" cuts are also the MPSF bests in the 200 IM (1:48.88) and 400 IM
(3:53.74), ranking him seventh and ninth in the nation respectively this
season.
Priest also set the top time in the MPSF in the 200 free
(1:40.10) and 200 butterfly (1:50.65) during the Arena Invitational. Priest was also a member of the
Roadrunners 400 freestyle relay which during the Arena Invitational cracked the
top-20 nationally and is fastest in the league this season.
Priest is the fourth CSUB competitor to earn MPSF Men's
Swimmer of the Week in 2010-11.
The Roadrunners are back in action Dec. 2-4 at the U.S. Short Course
Championships.
