LAST WEEK: Enduring another long roadtrip that included three consecutive days of duals (at UC Davis, Stanford and San Francisco State) followed by an all-day tournament in San Francisco, the Roadrunners came away with two dual victories and six individual titles at the California Collegiates. Redshirt freshman Elijah Nacita (141) and senior Daniel Atondo (165) both went 8-0 over the week's action, winning all three dual bouts along with first place finishes at the open tournament. Senior Jeremy Doyle (149) and redshirt freshman Riley Orozco (184) also fared well, winning all but one match.

CLOSING IN ON 30: Jeremy Doyle (149) leads all ?Runner wrestlers with 29 wins and will be seeking his first 30-win season this week. Also closing in on 30 wins are Elijah Nacita (141) and Daniel Atondo (165) who hold 27-9 and 26-9 records, respectively.

PAC-10 RANKINGS: The fourth edition of the Pac-10 rankings were released last Thursday with a few changes for CSUB wrestlers. At 141, Elijah Nacita made the biggest jump, moving up to No. 3 from his previous No. 5 position. Ryan Bergman (285) moved up one spot to No. 5 while Ernesto Ancona (197) replaced teammate Garth Wara in the No. 10 position and Jeremy Doyle (149) fell one spot to No. 5. All other Roadrunners held steady in their respective rankings.
With the match-up against Cal State Fullerton this week, CSUB will be looking for upsets against top ranked T.J. Dillashaw (133), Morgan Atkinson (149), Ian Murphy (184) and Wade Sauer (285). The Titans also have a pair of No. 2 ranked wrestlers in Teddy Astorga (141) and John Drake (197). At 125, 157, 165 and 174, the ?Runners hold the higher ranking.

NATIONAL STATISTICS:
For the first time this season a trio of Roadrunners have made their way into this week's NCAA Division I national statistics rankings. Jeremy Doyle (149) is tied for No. 8 in wins (29), Daniel Atondo (165) is seven-way tie for No. 3 in major decisions (10) and Elijah Nacita (141) is tied for No. 8 in technical fall victories (5).

PIN FOR A WIN: Through 577 matches, the Roadrunners have earned 79 of their 363 wins by virtue of a pin. That number far surpasses the 2006-07 season total of 61. Leading the way in that statistical category are Elijah Nacita (141), Jeremy Doyle (149), Trevor Hall (157) and Ryan Bergman (285) who have all totalled six pins. However, the ?Runners fastest pin to date (23 seconds) came by the hands of freshman Justin Durham (133).

400 AND COUNTING: On Saturday, Jan. 19, Head Coach T.J. Kerr became the fifth active NCAA coach to reach 400 career wrestling victories, following a 37-12 win over Portland State. Kerr now holds a 35-plus-year career record of 402-199-7. Now in his 24th season at the helm of the Roadrunner program, Kerr also owns a 220-129-4 record at CSUB.

UP NEXT: The Roadunners close out the regular season at home in the Icardo Center when they host Pac-10 rival Cal Poly on Feb. 10 at 5 p.m.
