IRVINE, Calif. - A pair of Roadrunners earned weekly honors from The Big West on Monday, being recognized as the top-performing men's soccer players in the league. Filip Arras took home Defensive Player of the Week honors while Lorimer Bouman was tabbed as Rookie of the Week.

This past week, Arras tallied three points in Cal State Bakersfield's road draw at San Diego State. The defender placed a perfect corner kick into the box that was headed home for an equalizer early in the second half. Later in the period, Arras scored a wonder strike on a bending free kick that went over the diving goalkeeper, hit the underside of the crossbar, and went into the net for a go-ahead goal. The native of Norway tallied his first goal and assist on the season after missing back-to-back matches due to injury.

Bouman netted his first collegiate goal during Bakersfield's road draw against San Diego State. The native of Australia headed home a perfectly placed ball from Arras, equalizing the game early in the second half.
