Arras Helps `Runners to Road Draw at SDSU

SAN DIEGO – The Cal State Bakersfield overcame an early deficit to earn a road draw against San Diego State on Saturday night. The Roadrunners gave up an early goal and a late goal, but three points from senior Filip Arras held CSUB to the 2-2 tie.

San Diego State scored at 2:32 on the clock, stunning Bakersfield with a quick goal. The `Runners never stopped battling and found an equalizer just 89 seconds into the second half. Arras passed the ball into the box and Bauman put it away for his first collegiate goal.

In the 79th minute, Arras took a free kick from 2 yards outside the box and hit a wonder strike off the crossbar and into the back of the net. The golaso gave the `Runners a 2-1 advantage, but it would not last as a handball in the box at 88:52 set SDSU up for a penalty kick that tied the match.
