CSUB Volleyball Teams Earn AVCA Academic Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball and indoor volleyball teams continued to emphasize success in the classroom as the Roadrunners have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award once again.

Annually honoring the nation's volleyball programs that strive for academic excellence, the Team Academic Award celebrates squads that maintain a year-long grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher.

Bakersfield's volleyball teams ranks among the top programs in the Cal State Bakersfield Athletics Departments academically. The beach squad wrapped up the year with a 3.30 cumulative GPA, clinching their sixth-consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award. The `Runner indoor program has garnered the recognition for the first time since 2023 with a 3.59 cumulative GPA at the end of the academic year.

CSUB's squad joined more than 1,432 other teams to be honored by the AVCA.
