CSUB takes care of business against Cal State LA

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Cal State Bakersfield took care of a 7-3 victory over the Cal State LA on Tuesday Night at Hardt Field. The Roadrunners were led by a solid start on the mound by Saul Bolivar as well as multi-hit performances out of four different CSUB batters.

Bolivar took the mound for CSUB for the third time this season, guiding the `Runners through 4 IP. He tallied 6 strikeouts while allowing 3 hits and a run in a solid start.

CSUB's offense started early in the first inning getting 2 early walks. This set up a Jacob May 2 run RBI single that gave the `Runners the lead. The offense kept going with Elgin Bennett's solo shot in the second inning.

In the third the scoring for CSUB started with an Evan Cloyd RBI single that brought in Elijah Pelayo. Carter Jorissen had his own 2 run RBI single in the third inning where CSUB's offense kept pouring it on.

Elgin Bennett enjoyed some offense of his own when he hit his 6th home run of the year. He is now tied with Evan Cloyd in home runs (6).

5 CSUB pitchers saw the mound in Tuesday night's game. Along with Bolivar, Alex Navarrete, Payton Pudenz, Dante Jackson, and Joe Tootle were able to keep the Golden Eagle's offense to 3 runs.
