BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Defending its home sand for the first time this season, the Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball team went 2-0 on Saturday at the Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex at the SRC. The Roadrunners defeated visiting Master's University 4-1 before taking a 5-0 sweep from Vanguard University.

CSUB improved to 3-4 on the season with the pair of wins following a challenging Opening Weekend in Florida against multiple ranked opponents. 

While the `Runners largely dominated play today in Bakersfield, CSUB's No. 4 pairing of Ella Ensign and Vianna Garcia was particularly efficient. The `Runner duo earned a pair of quick, 2-0 wins with scores of 21-11, 21-7 and 21-8, 21-8.
