2025 (SENIOR): Played all 56 games, starting all but 1 as Bakersfield’s primary shortstop…Ranked third on the team with a .273 batting average…Ranked in Top 3 in runs (33), hits (53), triples (2), RBI (27), and stolen bases (18)…Tied for second in Big West in steals as well as second all-time for CSUB in a single season…Graduated with 22 career stolen bases, tied for seventh in CSUB history, and 285 assists, which ranks eighth…Between 2024 and 2025, started 106 consecutive games.

2024 (JUNIOR): The only `Runner to start and play in all 53 games…Started every game at shortstop…Batted .238 on the season with a .288 on-base percentage…Tallied 16 RBI, 13 runs, 5 doubles, 8 walks, 31 strikeouts, and 4 stolen bases…Ranked fourth on the team with 10 multi-hit games and 4 multi-RBI games…Went 3-for-5 at Cal Poly Apr. 15…Went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI in win vs. Fresno State Apr. 2…Went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI in win over NJIT Mar. 9...Played summer ball in Washington.

PRIOR TO CSUB: Attended Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California… Coached by John Knott and Scott Zine… In 49 games played, he finished with a .330 batting average, 56 hits, 34 RBI, 41 runs, 19 stolen bases, which was good for a Second Team All-Conference nod.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2021 graduate from Montebello High School… Coached by Manny Arana… Won First Team All-League and League Championship… In 17 games played, Pelayo had a .508 batting average, racking up 32 hits, 22 RBI, 21 stolen bases, and scored 27 times.

PERSONAL: A liberal studies major…Plans to play baseball professionally before working in construction with his father.
