BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), honors the nation's top student-athletes for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom. The Cal State Bakersfield Athletics Department is proud to congratulate Melissa Secchiaroli on earning Academic All-District® recognition.
Melissa Secchiaroli
A Senior from Sorgues, France, Melissa Secchiaroli earned Academic All-District® honors for her exceptional performance during the 2024 season. As a key player for the CSUB women's basketball team, she appeared in 24 of 30 matches, averaging 25.6 minutes a game as one of Bakersfield starting guards. Secchiaroli finished the season averaging 6.1 points per game. Majoring in Interdisciplinary studies, she also posted an impressive 3.90 GPA.

To be nominated for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be starters and maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA—one of the highest academic standards for awards in collegiate athletics.
