BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Roadrunners opened up the home slate of their season Thursday afternoon in successful fashion, earning a 83-61 victory over Whittier College. Acting Head Coach, Mike Scott, added his first win to his resume since taking over the helm for Bakersfield.

CSUB's offense produced three double figure scorers today in the win. CJ Hardy had 17 points, Ronald Jessamy had 13, and Dailin Smith had 10. Jessamy added 10 rebounds to his 13 points, and also had two blocks as well, this is his first double double of the young season. Pierre Geneste Jr. pulled down the team leading 13 rebounds, he also added 6 points to his final stat line. The Roadrunners controlled the glass, out rebounding the Poets 58-38.
