Road Win at Omaha Marks Season First for CSUB Women’s Basketball

OMAHA, Neb. — Cal State Bakersfield Women’s Basketball earned its first victory of the season with an 82–73 road decision at Omaha, the program’s highest point total against a Division I opponent in seven seasons.

CSUB overturned an early 24–16 deficit by outscoring the Mavericks 24–15 in the second quarter and 23–15 in the third, building a lead that reached 14 points with 3:48 remaining. The Roadrunners shot 45.5% from the field, 53.8% from three (7–13), and 73.5% at the line (25–34).

Chrishawn Coleman led all scorers with 21 points (6–11 FG), Tena Ikidi posted a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double, Marley Langi added a season-high 19 points with 4 three-pointers, and Morgan Hawkins contributed 14 points including two threes and a 4–4 night at the stripe. Maria Dias chipped in 8 points.
