• The Cal State Bakersfield men’s basketball team (3-3) will kicks off a four-game road stint with games around either side of Thanksgiving.  
• The Roadrunners are under new leadership as Acting Head Coach Mike Scott took over the helm five weeks before the start of the season. 
  • Scott is in his ninth season with the `Runners, previously serving as an Assistant Coach prior to being elevated to the program’s leader. 
• Cal State Bakersfield has enjoyed a good mix of experience making an impact this year with the 2025-26 roster featuring six returners and eight newcomers. 
• Defense continues to be a hallmark of the CSUB men’s basketball program as the `Runners rank 16th in the nation with 6.2 blocks per game this season. 
• Scott also promised a more up-tempo offense, which Bakersfield has delivered on thus far, averaging almost 74 points per game this year and 83 points a contest last week. 
• CSUB’s two-headed offensive monster this year has been guards Dailin Smith (17.0 pgg) and CJ Hardy (16.3 ppg), who are both Top in the Big West in scoring. 

CSUB at Florida State (4-1) 

• CSUB heads out on the road to face an power-packed Florida State team:

  • Tallahassee, Florida 
• FSU’s only loss of the season was a two-point battle against in-state rival Florida. 
• CSUB will look to earn their first road win of the season in the Seminoles home. 
• The ‘Runners and the Seminoles have only played once in the all-time series with Florida State coming out on top 96-66 in 1974. 
• CSUB hopes to start their road trip with a big momentum boost by knocking off the Seminoles who’s only loss was by 2 points to #10 Florida. 

CSUB at Fresno State (4-1) 

• CSUB takes the bus trip up Highway 99 to face its cross-valley rival: 
  • Nov. 30, 3:00 p.m. (PT) 
  • Fresno, Calif. 
• Fresno State will host the annual rivalry matchup at Selland Arena, Fresno’s downtown facility, a place the Bulldogs have not played in 2009. 
  • The Bulldogs boast a 390–135 record in the building all-time. 
• While the all-time series between CSUB and Fresno State dates all the way back to 1975, the two teams have only met 18 times prior. 
  • The `Runners trail the Bulldogs 12-6 in the all-time series. 
• The teams will be meeting for the fourth consecutive season after a four-year hiatus in the rivalry. 
  • CSUB won the most recent matchup while Fresno State had won the two prior. 
• Last year in Bakersfield, the `Runners walloped the Bulldogs for a 74-56 victory in front of over 2,000 fans.

• The Roadrunner women’s basketball team will carry a two-game win streak into a matchup with a Big 12 foe. 
• Second-year Head Coach Ari Wideman is leading a reform in the Roadrunner program, aided by the help of a talented coaching staff. 
• Wideman’s roster features a pair of veteran returners and a large group of returners who are all helping redefine the team. 
• CSUB’s most consistent performer this season has been guard Crishawn Coleman, who ranks fourth in the Big West this season with 18.2 points per game. 
• Center Tena Ikidi has been a problem on both ends all season, averaging 8.5 points and 8.7 rebounds a contest. 
• The `Runners have embarked on their sixth season as members of The Big West, pushing for a return to the conference tournament in March after a two-year absence. 

CSUB at Arizona (4-0) 

• Cal State Bakersfield will face a tough test against a Power 4 foe that is undefeated heading into this week:

  • Tucson, Ariz. 
• CSUB and Arizona will meet for just the fourth time in the all-time series. 
  • The Wildcats have won two of the three meetings against the `Runners. 
• A ten-year gap from 2014 to 2024 kept these two teams apart before they met in Tucson a year ago. 
• Last year, Arizona handed its visitor a 76-39 loss behind a dominant performance.
