IRVINE, Calif. – Cal State Bakersfield swimmer Vili Sivec was voted The Big West's Male Athlete of the Week for the first time this season on Nov. 11. The Roadrunner earned the honor for the fifth time in his career, taking home the award four times a season ago.

Sivec was exceptional in Bakersfield's dual this week, leading the `Runners to a convincing victory over Fresno Pacific.

The senior tallied individual victories in both the 100 Butterfly (48.08) and 200 Butterfly (1:48.62), posting mid-season times that would qualify most swimmers for postseason meets. Sivec also helped Bakersfield's 400 medley relay team to a victory (3:26.53) and his leadoff leg of the 200 free relay impressed (20.29).

The `Runners will continue the 2025-26 season next when as Bakersfield heads to Boise for the annual midseason meet.
