BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Behind a 2-0 first-half advantage, the Cal State Bakersfield men's soccer team earned a 3-0 victory on its home pitch Friday night. The Roadrunners downed visiting Master's University, closing out preseason exhibitions unbeaten (2-0-1), including a tie against No. 11 LMU and a 3-1 win at No. 21 UCLA.
Bakersfield built its lead on the backs of three different goal scorers. The `Runners sprinted away from the Mustangs, netting goals in the eighth minute (Connor Mautino) and 14th minute (Jesse Wangusi).
Early in the second half, Joey Velasquez buried a pass from Rashaad Ogun to cap Bakersfield scoring.
